Notice the purpose of the tabernacle and priesthood is explained in 29:43-46 and yet it is tragically violated in the events of Exodus 32. God's people quickly and easily turn their back on him.

Bezalel and Oholiab (35) are an interesting study in light of how few churches value artists and their God-given skills to bring him glory through art.

Exodus wraps up with the completion of the tabernacle and all its furnishings. I have found it very helpful to find diagrams and pictures that illustrate everything described in these last chapters. It has enabled me to better envision what is being described.

2/16/12 - A couple of things struck me; (1) the specific details and orderliness of the offerings and (2) over and over again the phrase ‘a pleasing aroma to the LORD’. Today, I saw God as a God of order and of detail, I love seeing those qualities of God in scripture. And I found myself asking is my life a pleasing aroma to God? Is my prayer life, my quiet time, my work, are my relationships….a pleasing aroma to the God I love?

Have you been able to determine the difference between the offenses covered by the guilt offering and those offenses related to the sin offering? The guilt offenses appear to be more serious as shown by the fact that the sacrificial animal is more costly (a male instead of a female). Have you noticed these differences with the other offerings? Burnt? Fellowship? Grain?

I have to say I'm a bit overwhelmed by all of the different types of offerings.

Aaron remained silent. Was it because he realized the signifigance of his son's sin?
