Our Story

Our story goes back to the very beginning, literally! We believe that all of history is one story, a story that began with God creating all things good, but human beings turned their backs on God. The result was devastating, fracturing our relationship with our Creator, bringing isolation, grief, and ultimately death into the world. But the story will have a happy ending because our God is on a rescue mission. Through the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ, God is restoring our broken world and individual lives. Our future destiny is secure because of what our King has accomplished and we look towards that hope, believing God has called us into his story, to work in us and through us to accomplish his good and perfect will.

In the summer of 2005 a group of ten people were sent from Pacific Crossroads Church in Los Angeles to participate in God's story by starting a new church. We began meeting for a Bible study on Sunday evenings in Long Beach, CA. We delved into the book of Galatians and began talking about the Gospel message that the Apostle Paul was so passionate about. We dreamed together of a new church comprised of humbled people who are finding hope and encouragement to follow Jesus. As others joined us we began meeting for Sunday morning worship in June of 2006.

Since then, we've seen God gather together a ethnically and generationally diverse group of people who are realizing the joy of participating in what God is doing in the world. As our story continues, we invite you to join us as we discover daily where Jesus is leading us.
